Alkhidmat holds annual health screening for 750 orphans in Karachi

KARACHI: Annual health screening of 750 children registered under the Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care Program was carried out at multiple Alkhidmat health centers.

In the first phase, screening was carried out for four out of seven clusters in Karachi. The screening for the rest of clusters will be carried out as per schedule.

Consultants for eye, ENT, dental and other fields examined the children. On the occasion, required medicines were provided free of cost to the children. Necessary tests were also performed upon them.

Health experts updated the guardians and associates of the orphan children about precautions for health during the winter season.

Alkhidmat Chiefs Executive Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureshi and Orphan Care Director Farooq Kamlani visited the camps specially set up for the purpose.

Speaking on the occasion, Baig said that Alkhidmat also takes care of health related issues of the children registered with them.

Qureshi appealed to the masses to donate generously to support Alkhidmat’s orphan care program.

Kamlani said that health screening of all orphan children registered with Alkhidmat was carried out on periodic basis.
