KARACHI: On the occasion of the Annual Connect 2022, a performance appreciation ceremony organized by Alkhidmat Karachi’s HR department for employees and volunteers.

Dr. WasayShakir, Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami expounded on the importance of striving for the establishment of Islam as a political system.

The ceremony was compered by Fareed Ahmed, while AbulAa’la Siddiqui supplicated for the forgiveness and lofty abode of (Late) Naimutullah Khan in Paradise. Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi also addressed the audience that included Director Diagnostic Services Dr. Azeemuddeen, Director Mawakhat Program Yusuf Muhyiuddeen, Director Health Services Dr.Saqib Ansari, Director Orphan Care Program Farooq Kamlani, Director HR and Compliance Muneer Yaqoob, other managers and employees.

Dr. Wasay said exhorted the attendees to combine their welfare services to humanity with a parallel effort for the establishment and propagation of the Prophet’s (SAWS) way of life. Naveed Ali Baig, CEO Alkhidmat Karachi highlighted that the organization had grown from a seedling to a huge, shady tree.

Relating the example of the Japanese Consul General at a MoU signing meeting for the grant of high-cost, advanced medical equipment, he said that the Consul General had expressed his total trust and confidence in Alkhidmat and its services. He said that Alkhidmat’s selfless efforts during the COVID pandemic which was acknowledged by the whole country.

He also informed the audience of the opening of Karachi’s first Aghosh Home. On the health front, Alkhidmat had upgraded the facilities at the Nazimabad Hospital including the Operation Theaters, while the new Diagnostic Laboratory was nearing completion, Besides, Alkhidmat was planning to start a sample collection point in the Defence area. Apart from these efforts, Alkhidmat was working to provide clean water to neglected areas of the city by installing hand pumps and more than 50 water filtration plants.

Recently, Alkhidmat also inaugurated a Skill Development Center at the Zameeruddeen Memorial Complex in PIB for imparting technical skills to unemployed youth. Reminding everyone of the death anniversary of Niamutullah Khan on February 25, he lauded the late leader’s tireless efforts which had set Alkhidmat on the path of success.

Calling him a Waliullah, he said that every service that Niamutullah Khan desired to execute was blessed by Allah (SWT) with success. On this occasion, Naveed Ali Baig dedicated the program to this “Father Figure of Karachi” and announced a new award for those directors who were serving Alkhidmat as volunteers. Rashid Qureishi recounted the early days of the organization which started with just 14 individuals, but had now grown into a full-fledged, multi-employee NGO. Awards in 5 categories were presented to appreciate the outstanding performances of employees.
