KARACHI: Alkhidmat Karachi distributed ration to families of orphans under its Ramazan Food Package program.
The ration included flour, sugar, rice, besan, various dals, cool beverages, dates and similar edible items.
A special event was organized at Quba Auditorium for the purpose for which orphans and their single parents or guardians were invited. Senior officials of Alklhidmat Karachi’s Orphan Care program were present on the occasion for which the Chief Guest was Talat Nadeem, Nazima Jamat-e-Islami District Gulberg. Reminding the audience of the blessings of Ramadan and the responsibilities of Muslims, Talat Nadeem said that Ramadan was a gift from Allah in which we must strengthen our bond with our Lord by eschewing sins, doing good deeds and earning reward in this world and the Hereafter. She highlighted Alkhidmat’s contribution to orphans and their families throughout the year as well as in Ramadan, and appealed to people of means to come forward and assist Alkhidmat in this activity. Nusrat Yousuf said that Allah had raised Messengers to guide people to the Truth and Straight Path.
She reminded the audience that Pakistan was also a gift from Allah which was created after great sacrifices and that people must love their country. She also called upon the people to be grateful to their Lord whose blessings cannot be counted. Zahida Afzaal said words of appreciation for Alkhidmat’s services to orphans which was a Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (SAWS) and appealed to generous people to assist Alkhidmat in their welfare activities for orphans.
