Chief of Army Staffs (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have greeted former PM Yousuf Raza Gillani over successful recovery of his son Ali Haider Gillani after three years.

Ali Haider was abducted on May 9, 2013 from Lahore and was recovered in a military operation in Ghazni, Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a letter expressed the hope that Ali Haider Gilani would meet his family soon.

The Prime Minister lauded the Gilani family for their courage, resilience and patience over the past three years for bearing this separation.

“I pray to Allah Almighty that may He keep you and your family safe and protected,” the Prime Minister said.

On the other hand COAS phoned the ex-prime minister and also congratulated Gillani over the recovery of his son after successful operation.
