Karachi: Al-Khidmat Foundation has launched the “Sasta Khana Project” in Akhter Colony to provide quality food at discounted rates to the deserving people of area during the ongoing lockdown.
Al-Khidmat has picked up one of best local restaurant Mama Fast Food to provide qaulity food at cocessional prices to the poor and lower middle class of the area.
The Take Away service at the food centre will be available from Iftar to Sehri.
Karachi Chamber of Commerce member and renowned social worker Zahid Saeed inaugurated the “Sasta Khana Project” under which one-time meal (one cury and three chapati) would be available for Rs60 whereas other food would also be available at 50-70 per cent discounted rates.
Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Saeed said that the Al Khidmat Dastarkhwan was a gift for people affected due to the lockdown.
Public Aid Committee, District South, President, Zahoor Ahmed Jadoon, Akhter Colony President Ghayas Abbasi and Azam Basti President Dr Umar Farooq was also present on the occasion.
