Al-Khidmat launches citywide anti dengue fumigation campaign

KARACHI: Al-Khidmat Karachi, a charity wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, has launched Dengue Spray Campaign to safeguard masses from potential outbreak of the disease.

The campaign was initiated from the North Nazimabad area and would be expanded throughout the city in several phases.

Inaugurating the campaign, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that it is a responsibility of the government to launch fumigation campaigns, however its incapability further pushed forward Al-khidmat to take the fort.

“Though the government does not, but we realize the problems of already deprived masses so Al-khidmat decided to launch the fumigation campaign,” he said.

He expressed his disappointment that the ruling regime and the government’s high ups are engaged only in photo sessions, cosmetic measures and lip services, while the entire country is under going through flesh floods.

Engr. Naeem further said that now it’s the responsibility of masses to support and vote for the likes of former Karachi mayor Nematullah Khan who transformed the entire city and started fumigation campaigns in the city.

Al-Khidmat Karachi General Secretary Engr. Abdul Aziz was also present on the occasion. He requested masses to donate generously so as to serve humanity at a maximum extent.
