Pakistan super star off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has expressed his desire to play a farewell match before announcing his retirement from International cricket.
The 37-year-old, who has been going thought a bad patch after remodeling his action following International Cricket Council (ICC) ban, now decided to retire from the game.
Ajmal failed to regain his past form following the clearance from the ban in January this year. He had gone for plenty on tour of Bangladesh and was dropped from the side.
Then he decided to play county cricket to regain his form but he failed again. Ajmal return to the country to play domestic championships where the was able to pick only two wickets in four matches in the tournament.
He was downgraded from central contract category ‘A’ to ‘B’ by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and was not included in Pakistan’s squad for the series against Zimbabwe and England.
Close friends of Ajmal said he has made his decision to retire from all three formats of cricket but wants to play one last match before he bids farewell.
