Pakistan magical off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket as the ongoing National T20 cup will be his last tournament.
The 40-year-old is currently participating in the National T20 Cup in Rawalpindi and says this his last tournament as an off-spin bowler.
“This national event is my last tournament and I don’t want to be a burden on any team,” said Ajmal as quoted by Wisden India.
“Before anyone raises a finger against my selection (in domestic matches), I want to leave and that’s my final decision.”
Ajmal was recently announced as the spin bowling coach of Pakistan Super League franchise Islamabad United.
