MIRPUR (AJK): Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s President Sardar Masood Khan and  Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Friday held a meeting here at Kashmir House and discussed the prevailing situation on the Line of Control (LoC) caused by the unprovoked Indian shelling on civilian population of the forward areas close to the LoC.

Both the leaders vehemently condemned the ongoing reign of Indian brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The two leaders said on this occasion that India should refrain from undermining peace in the region through its warmongering approach.

“People of AJK would continue supporting Kashmiris brethren in occupied Kashmir in their just struggle for right to self-determination.”

The Prime Minister said the whole nation and armed forces were ready and united for the defence of the motherland.

“India is trying to divert attention from its ongoing atrocities and brutalities in the occupied Kashmir,” he said adding that India wanted to divert attention of the international community through devious ways but emphasized that India would never be successful in this regard.

Raja Farooq Haider underscored that Pakistan was desirous of peace in the region and did not want confrontation with any country but warned that any act of aggression would be forcefully retaliated. Our armed forces were fully prepared and had full capability to thwart any aggression, he added.

He condemned the brutal repression, barbarism and severe human rights violations by Indian forces in the Occupied Kashmir.

Earlier, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) AJK chapter Abdul Rasheed Turabi also called on Prime Minister at Kashmir House. —APP
