ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in Senate Aitzaz Ahsan said that he was saddened by Imran Khan’s sudden outburst against the PPP and Asif Ali Zardari.
“I am very disappointed by Imran Khan’s statement. I don’t know who is giving advice to Imran Khan,” Aitzaz Ahsan told the media persons outside the Parliament House on Thursday.
“Imran Khan’s allegations that we are in contacts with the government are untrue. The PPP has taken the government to task on the Panama issue,” he pointed out.
He said that Imran Khan shouldn’t have targeted the PPP and Asif Ali Zardari.
The veteran politician also defended the PPP’s decision to attend the joint sitting of the Parliament.
“PPP took the right decision to attend the session. The forum of Parliament belongs to all of us,” he maintained. —INP
