DAMASCUS: At least 80 people have been killed and 200 others were reportedly injured in airstrikes on a marketplace in rebel-held town of Douma.

Government forces on Sunday hit the market place that left 80 dead and destroyed the market completely. The attack convert the surrounding building in ruins and vehicles on fire, a spectator said.

The Local Coordination Committees, a network of anti-government activists, said that rescue volunteers were digging rubbles in search of survivors.
