KARACHI: Pakistan cricket team’s Twenty 20 format captain Shahid Afridi on Monday vowed to make his squad a better team ahead of T20 World Cup.

Speaking to a private news channel’s representative on Monday, Afridi said that even if he finds his own performance below expectations, he will retire from cricket before the grand T20 event.

Leading a team facing problems in both the shorter formats of the game, Pakistan’s T20 format captain was of the view that if senior players cannot perform well they should give their juniors a chance to bring back glory to Pakistan cricket.

Shahid Khan Afridi has taken retirement from One Day and Test formats of the game and only leads Pakistan in T20 format.

Pakistan team lost the only one day they played in Bangladesh after being whitewashed by the minnows in the ODI series.
