KABUL: Afghan Taliban’s Shura has elected Mullah Akhtar Mansoor as the new supreme leader but they were reluctant to confirm the death of Mullah Omar.
Sources said that the new development emerged a day after various sources including the Afghan government and international media announced the death of Mullah Omar.
Mullah Akhtar Mansoor has been elected as new Emir of Taliban after the consultation among all the members of Taliban Shura Council on Wednesday night, said sources.
