Afghan govt, Taliban delegations attend peace talks in Norway

OSLO : Afghan government and Taliban delegations have attended the peace talks in Norway. The two-day talks were held to address the riot in the war-torn Afghanistan.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, Iranian Vice President Masoumeh Ebtekar and Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi were also attended the meeting.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Boerge Brende said that there was no plan for formal peace talks between the Afghan government and Taliban. He said that the two sides must talk together to bring peace in Afghanistan.

Afghan government and Taliban spokes persons affirmed that they had sent their representatives in the peace talks at Oslo.
