Afghan forces kill gunmen after Pakistan consulate attack: official

KABUL: Two gunmen who tried to storm in Pakistani consulate on Wednesday in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad have been killed.

Afghanistan’s deputy interior minister said, both attacked were killed in the operation to clear the Pakistani consulate.

General Ayoub Salangi said in a tweet that the two attackers had been killed by Afghan security forces, who surrounded the empty government guest house where they had taken refuge after the suicide bomber detonated himself.

It is pertinent to mention here that, At least six people were dead while several others sustain injures in the attack on Consulate.
