Afghan firing leaves two civilians injured at Torkham

At least two civilians sustain injuries due to unprovoked firing by Afghan forces at Torkham border on Wednesday morning.

As per details, The fighting erupted along the Torkham border Sunday night and continued erratically over the next two days, apparently after Afghan forces resorted to ‘unprovoked firing’ to disrupt the construction of a gate at the main border crossing between the two neighbours.

The Afghan force continue to fire shells after brief interruption leaving two Pakistani civilians injured. Pakistani force also responding to the fire with equal force.

A curfew type situation developed at the border as people are suffering in the holy month of Ramadan.

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar said, Pakistan’s sincere efforts for border management are being sabotaged from across the border.
