Afghan Army Chief calls on Pakistani counterpart

RAWALPINDI: Afghan Army Chief  Sher Mohammad Karimi on Friday called on his Pakistani counterpart General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarter (GHQ) , ISPR said.

According to the ISPR, the two military chiefs discussed security matters as well as the situation in the region.

They also discussed Pak-Afghan border issues, defense cooperation, as well as military training during the meet-up,  said the ISPR.

The Afghan Army chief will be the chief guest of passing out parade at Kakool on Saturday (tomorrow).

It is pertinent to mention here that it will be the first ever visit of any Afghan army chief to Kakool.

Earlier, on arrival of the Afghan Army chief, a contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honor to him.
