Naval Chief calls on Malaysian Defence Minister, military heads

KUALA LUMPUR: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, who is on an official visit to Malaysia, Monday held meetings with Malaysian Defence Minister Hishamuddin Hussein, Chief of Defence Forces General Zulkifeli Bin MohdZin and his counterpart Admiral Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

Admiral Zakaullah was received by Admiral Ahmad Kamerulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin upon his arrival at the Malaysian Naval Headquarters.

A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the Naval Chief on the occasion, said a press release issued here.During the meeting, Admiral Zakaullah dilated upon bilateral naval collaboration.

Pakistan’s commitment and performance in fight against terrorism including participation in CMCP (Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan) and Counter Piracy Operations as well as Command of multinational Task Forces 150 and 151 also came under discussion.

During the Naval Chief’s meetings with Minister of Defence and Chief of Defence Forces, matters of mutual interest and bilateral defence collaboration were discussed.

The Naval Chief highlighted significance of close and strong relations based on mutual respect and understanding between Pakistan and Malaysia.
