LONDON: Former Federal minister and renowned lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada passed away after a brief illness at a London hospital on Tuesday night.

He was the lead government member of the committee that drafted the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan.
He was born in 1941 and began his political career in the PPP as Pirzada was serving Bhutto’s legal expert.
Hafeez Pirzada was elected MNA in 1970 elections. He remained Federal Law Minister from 1973 to 1977.
Saddened to hear of Hafeez Pirzada’s death. Found him to be a remarkable lawyer. My prayers & condolences to the family.
