ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader Syed Khurshid Shah on Wednesday was surprised when he received a receipt of depositing Rs100 million in a bank.
Sources said that the PPP leader received a receipt of depositing Rs100 million in his account in his chamber in Parliament House. He was stunned to know as he had not deposited the amount in his account. He directed his staff to immediately contact the concerned bank.
When his staff contacted the bank where his account is maintained, the staff was told that the bank had neither issued any receipt of deposit nor any amount was deposited in his account. The bank termed the receipt as fake.
Shah ordered his staff to write to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for investigation into the issue. Sources said that the Barkat Lashari’s name has been mentioned as sender in the DTR.
