Attack on BNP rally leaves five injured; Khalida Zia unhurt

DHAKA: Attack on Bangladesh National Party’s convoy left its five activist injured in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka,  but its Chairperson Khalida Zia remained unhurt.

She was leading the rally in connection with election campaign when miscreants attacked the convoy. She was on an election campaign for Tabith Awal, her party-endorsed mayoral candidate.

Khaleda was addressing a gathering at the scene when a group of at least 50 alleged Awami League activists, having iron rods and sticks attacked on the rally.

Khalida warned them they would have to face its consequences.
