Three policemen suspended for misuse of power

KARACHI: Three policemen have been suspended with immediate effect on the accusation of corrupt practices and misuse of authority.

A spokesman for the Sindh police said here on Sunday that the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Karachi South, Saqib Ismail Memon, taking notice of media reports, suspended three policemen for allegedly taking bribe from motorcyclists during snap checking in Clifton area here.

He said the policemen were Head Constable Qurban, and constables Abid and Ghulam Mustafa.

The SSP South also directed that departmental action be initiated against these three policemen.
