Nation needs ‘corruption free Pakistan’, says Sirajul Haq

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said our leaders are vision less, while our country follow parliamentary politics, thinking beyond party setup is very rare.

Despite these circumstances Jamaat-e-Islami is running campaign against corruption for last 9 months, Sirajul Haq said while addressing to a gathering of journalists at a private hotel in Karachi today (Saturday).

He said we also knocked Judiciary’s door with same Terms of References (ToRs) one which all, government and opposition, agreed. “Initially we asked investigations of Prime Minister and his family while rest should be investigated after that.”

The JI Senator said Jamaat-e-Islami is not a group of investors, it is the party of common man. Corruption free Pakistan is the need of the nation.

JI Ameer said, “we are facing problems in life because we denied Islamic teachings.” People voted Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on the basis of food and shelter but the situation as it is as it was before.

Nation deprived of basic facilities adding that approximately 65 thousand people have been killed in terrorism in the country so far, million people are affected, most patients were admitted in mental hospitals, economic terrorism has been caused by the depression, he added.

Meanwhile JI Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq has welcomed the decision taken by Sindh government in Sindh Assembly to review the bill rights of minorities and change of religion.

During the gathering, JI’s Naib Ameer Asadulla Bhutto briefed the participants about party’s petition in Supreme Court against mega corruption scandal Panama Leaks.

On this occasion, JI’s Naib Ameer Sindh Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Reham and others were present.
