BRISBANE: Pakistan got an early breakthrough when fast bowler Mohammad Amir and leg-spinner Yasir Shah dismissed Australian openers in the first Test against Aussies at The Gabba on Thursday.

Amir trapped David Warner lbw for 32 while Shah dismissed Pakistan-born Usman Khawaja for 4 soon afterward, reducing Australia to 75-2.

Earlier openers Warner and Matt Renshaw provided a solid start after Australia won toss and chose to bat in the pink ball Test.

Australia kept an unchanged side from last month´s day-night third Test win over South Africa with spinner Nathan Lyon preferred over paceman Chadd Sayers.

Pakistan, looking to win their first series in Australia at the 12th attempt, made two changes to the side that lost to New Zealand in Hamilton last month with captain Misbah-Ul-Haq and leg-spinner Yasir Shah making a return.
