ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted privilege and adjournment motions against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in National Assembly’s Secretariat.

According to details, both motions having signatures of 20 PTI leaders including Imran Khan, Murad Saeed, Ameer Ullah Marwat, were presented by Shireen Mazari, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Munaza Hassan and Arif Alvi in the Assembly Secretariat.

It was mentioned in the motions that the premier lied to the nation in NA session on May 16 while facts were also not put forward regarding Panama Leaks matter.

London flats were bought from the money gained by the sale of steel mill in Dubai while Sharif’s lawyer told the court that Dubai mill was running in loss, it added.

The motions further said that PM Nawaz assured availability of all the documents of assets and business but his lawyer denied it in the court.

According to PTI leaders, PM didn’t mention Qatar’s role over London flats in his speech but the letter from Qatari prince suddenly surfaced in the court.

Moreover, PTI urged the authorities to raise the issue in the House to overcome the reservations of other parties.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Khurshid Shah had also moved privilege motion against PM, terming his speech in NA as ‘non-serious’.

The privileged motion was signed by PPP leaders including Naveed Qamar and Shazia Marri.
