LOWER DIR: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should step down from his position till the accountability process so that he could not influence the enquiry proceedings.
He said that the people contesting the 2013 elections had not disclosed their assets revealed in the London Leaks and the Panama leaks. If a thorough enquiry was held, large number of people could be disqualified under article 62 and 63 of the constitution adding that Supreme court (SC) should take notice of that.
He was addressing to journalists in Lower Dir on the occasion of valima ceremony of JI former provisional youth wing president Muhammad Ibrar.
The JI chief Sirajul Haq said that the masses were deprived of the basic facilities of education, health and employment adding that corruption is the major issue in the country.
Pakistan lost its eastern wing due to the economic, political and ideological corruption of the ruling clique. He said that those who had betrayed the Pakistan ideology were the national villains who caused the dismemberment of the country only to serve their personal ends.
Robbers has made public life miserable in the city meanwhile rulers had imposed all security on their protection which costs from the national treasury.
The JI chief said 70 percent population of country is connected to agriculture sector adding that instead of that government is importing onion, tomatoes other agriculture items from India and no government in the country so far had given agriculture its due importance due to which the plight of growers was pitiable adding that after electricity load shedding govt is planning for gas load shedding.
Senator Sirajul Haq said JI wanted accountability of all those mentioned in the Panama leaks but the process should begin with the Prime Minister and his family because the Premier had admitted the off shore companies of his children and had also offered himself for accountability adding that accountability of previous govt should also be held.
The JI chief said it was the primary function of the Ummah to rise above petty differences and strive for the enforcement of the Islamic order encompassing all walks of life adding that the real solution to our problems lies in the implementation of Islamic system.
He appealed to the people to succeed JI honest and sincere people in the next elections, this will bring God willing, will bring prosperity to the country.
