ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said the five member bench of the Supreme Court should hear and give its verdict in the Panama Leaks case.

Addressing a press conference here Thursday, Imran Khan rejected the proposal of formation of Commission to investigate the case.  He said they would only agree to the formation of the commission if Prime Minister resigns immediately because in his presence the investigation agencies would not be able to hold a proper inquiry.

The PTI Chairman said in their view, the five member bench of the Supreme Court is competent to hear the case and give its verdict. He said all the documents are with the bench and by holding day to day hearing, the court should give judgment at the earliest.

He said the PTI has instructed its lead Counsel Naeem Bokhari to present the Party’s view point before the bench.

Imran Khan said that the counsel of the Prime Minister has failed to give information about money trail while during his address to the parliament, Mr Nawaz Sharif had stated that he has the required proof of money trail.

He said they took the decision after consulting with party leadership and on the basis of feedback they received from the common man.

Imran Khan on the occasion also expressed condolences on the loss of innocent lives in PIA plane crash and demanded immediate inquiry so that lives of the people are not lost in the future. He was of the opinion that PIA’s safety record is not very good.
