ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Hurriyet forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sunday strongly condemned the killing of Asadullah Kumar, a 39-year-old government employee, of Kulgam district, Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) by Indian forces.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who is under house arrest in Srinagar in a statement, said that the unbridled and trigger-happy forces and police were working on a plan to kill Kashmiris on one pretextor the other, which was extremely unfortunate and a cause of serious concern, KMS reported.

He urged the Indian government to give up its obduracy and stubbornness and initiate meaningful and result-oriented steps for the resolution of all pending issues between Pakistan and India including the Kashmir dispute.

He said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the major threat to peace and prosperity in the region.
