KARACHI: A delegation of Christian Unity Forum (CUF) on Wednesday met Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman at Idara-e-Noor Haq.
The delegation comprised of Iqbal Advocate, Dr Saleem Sarfaraz, Albert Messi, Pervez Bhatti, Younus Sohan Advocate, Samuel Nazeer, Nasreen Stephen and Saleem Michael Advocate.
The JI leaders including Naib Ameer Karachi Dr Osama Razi, Secretary Karachi Abdul Wahab and Secretary Information Zahid Askari were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the CUF delegation apprised the JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem that the some corrupt elements are using YMCA Ground for trade and commercial activities and converted the entire ground as marriage halls.
The delegation appealed the JI Karachi Ameer to raise his voice over the said crucial issue and take effective steps to discontinue the process of holding marriages at YMCA, as the ground was allotted for playing activities.
On the occasion, Hafiz Naeem assured the CUF delegation that his party will play its due role in this regard and also endorsed the demand of CUF regarding to convert the YMCA as playing ground again.
