KARACHI: Arrangements for the Karachi’s NA-258 by-polls to be held on Monday have been completed.
Rangers will be deployed both inside and outside the polling stations during the by-elections. Mobile phones are also restricted from polling stations.
According to the Provincial Election Commissioner, Rangers have been delegated with magistrate powers. Ballot boxes and compartments for polling booths have been dispatched, while the delivery of other material for polling stations is under way as well.
Out of 2287 polling stations, 60 have been declared highly sensitive, while 207 polling stations were regarded sensitive.
