ISALAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that PPP always strengthen the national institutions. He said that PPP always stood by the army even when Bhutto was hanged.
Kaira said that some political leaders were misconstruing former president Asif Ali Zardari speech. He said that there was a need to fully understand the context of Asif’s speech.
He said that when Bhutto was hanged, they blamed Ziaul Haq and his accomplices, not the institution. He was of view that they never blamed the institutions.
Kaira said that some political leaders misconstrued Zardari’s statement to make it more anti-establishment.
