Palestinian govt to resign soon over inability in Gaza: Abbas

RAMALLAH: Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas has said that their government would resign within next 24 hours over its inability to act in the Gaza Strip. He told his senior officials that the cabinet had to be dissolved because Hamas would not allow it to operate in Gaza strip.

The council’s secretary general Amin Maqbul said that the government would resign in the next 24 hours because their government was weak and there was no chance that Hamas would allow it to work in Gaza.
