JHELUM: At least 24 students were injured when an over speeding school bus turned turtle here on Thursday.
Police said that a school bus carrying students from Qila Rohtas to Dina over turned while negotiating a sharp turn near Old Mehta area in Jhelum district. The local people and Rescue 1122 personnel reached the scene of accident and started rescue operation.
The seriously injured students were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where condition of six was stated to be serious.
Police said that the accident took place due to over speeding and poor condition of road. A case has been registered against the driver and investigation was in progress.
