SARGODHA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif praised the performance of Pakistan Air Force, saying the force had played a pivotal role for the defense of the motherland.
The prime minister was addressing the PAF officers here on Wednesday after witnessing the High Mark 2016 exercises.
Acknowledging the PAF’s role in Zarb-e-Azb operation, the prime minister said the backbone of terrorists had been broken.
He expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the PAF exercise.
On the occasion, the prime minister was also given a detailed briefing on High Mark exercises. He was told that exercises are intended to increase the PAF professional skills.
The prime Minister also witnessed the fly past of fighter jets including F-16, J-F17 Thunder, Mirage jets and F-7.
On his arrival at the airbase, the prime minister was also given guard of honor. He was accompanied by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Air Chief Sohail Aman.
