ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday rejected the committee constituted by the government to probe ‘Dawn Leak’.

The government on Monday committee constituted a committee to launch an inquiry into the Dawn’s story regarding a meeting on national security. The committee, which will be headed by Justice (retd) Aamir Raza Khan, has been asked to submit its report within 30 days.

On Tuesday, PTI’s media strategy committee met at Bani Gala with party chief Imran Khan in the chair. The meeting deliberated over the issue of ‘security leak’ and the committee constituted to conduct inquiry to ascertain those responsible for the leak and fabrication of the news.

The PTI rejected the committee saying that many members of the committee had close links with the Sharif family.

Meanwhile, PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen took to twitter to reject the committee. “We reject Federal Govt’s sham commission on Dawn Story, which has only been formed to exonerate rather than inquire. Clear bias is apparent,” Tareen tweeted.
