FPCCI lauds PM for prudent economic policies

ISLAMABAD: Senior Vice President (SVP) of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Sheikh Khalid Tawab (SI) has greeted the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for initiating prudent economic policies.

In a statement he also referred to the letter written by Christine Lagarde, Managing Director, International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the Prime Minister after her recent visit to Pakistan on the occasion of successful completion of pre and post conditionalities of IMF-Supported Economic Reform Program of $6.4 billion and said that Pakistan is out of economic crisis. At present, the economic growth of Pakistan is improving, the inflation is declining and the fiscal deficit is reducing.

She has also appreciated the PM and his colleagues for achieving the macroeconomic fundamentals under their dynamic and leadership and offered her and IMF full support to Pakistan in its endeavors of economic prosperity.

Sheikh Khalid Tawab said, “It is heartening to express my pleasure that now the government plan to continue pushing ahead with these reforms to facilitate a deeper structural transformation of the economy and set it on a path of higher sustainable and more inclusive growth as it is a pre-requisite to attract international investors in potential areas of industrial and investment opportunities”.
