KARACHI: Police have given one-hour ultimatum to violent demonstrators to end their protest against arrests of Shia leaders in Malir 15 neighbourhod or else be ready for a strict crackdown.
The violent protesters since Monday morning have blocked the National Highway and adjoining areas. Besides, they have also attempted to block rail track.
As a result of the protest, traffic is severely affected and schools are closed in Malir and its adjoining areas including Model Colony, Khokrapar, Saudabad and Azeempura.
Police giving one-hour ultimatum to demonstrators warned them to disperse peacefully by 2:00pm or else force will be used against them.
