QUETTA: Chief of Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that had the National Action Plan (NAP) been implemented fully, the Quetta carnage could have been avoided.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta, Asfandyar sought answer from the government over the lapses in security of the police training centre.
He said that the prevailing situation had raised question over the future of Gwadar Port. The ANP chief said that the terrorism was striking continuously in the Balochistan but “we have not strategy to curt them”.
He said that the attack on Quetta police training centre could have been avoided had the government implemented NAP in letter and spirit.
He raised questions over the security measures taken at Police Training Centre Quetta. He said that as to why the cadets were recalled within five days after sending them on 10 days leave. He said that as to why the boundary wall of the Training Centre was not raised.
