President calls for human resource development for country’s progress

DOHA: President Mamnoon Hussain has called for human resource development on high-tech grounds for progress.

Addressing students at Pakistan Education Centre at Doha on Sunday, he said educational institutions need to be equipped with latest facilities and well-qualified teachers for imparting the students with the education that fulfills the modern-day requirements.

The President said Internet has turned the world into a global village, and the youth need be expert in information technology for remaining relevant.

He said well-educated people can serve the nation better contributing to the social and economic development. He called upon the youth to focus on their studies for becoming useful citizens of their societies.

Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan government has launched various initiatives to promote education in science and technology.  He appreciated the performance of Pakistan Education Center Doha in imparting education to students belonging to various countries.

Over three thousand students from twenty-seven countries have been getting education at the center from Kindergarten to Intermediate level.
