PESHAWAR: The security forces on Friday arrested a wanted terrorist among at least 31 suspected people during search operation in different areas.
According to CTD sources, on a tip off, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a raid at a secret hideout in Mardan and detained a wanted terrorist namely Waseem alias Kamran.
The arrested terrorist is accused of attacking police party in Swabi in 2015 when an accomplice of the wanted terrorist had blew himself up, while Waseem along with others managed to flee.
Police conducted an operation in the limits area of Phandu Police station in Peshawar and nabbed 30 suspects.
Meanwhile, police have recovered a suicide jacket during raids in Swabi’s Chota Lahore area.
