ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudary Nisar Ali Khan has again taken over at the personal level the investigation into planted and fake news item that was relating to the meeting of National Security.
According to the reliable sources, no evidence was found about the connection of two close officers of Prime Minister with the report of English daily Cyril Almeida. The person who was responsible for releasing the said report was being investigated on scientific basis. Meanwhile the sources said many elements are actively involved for creating misunderstanding about the matter for their personal interests to social, electronic and print media.
This was also being investigated, such attempt could give an impression of diverting the investigation process. Similar news item was recently planted that gave an impression that an interview to BBC by the former federal minister Mushahidullah Khan was based on the points given by press secretary to the Prime Minister, whereas the nominated press secretary was an OSD in Punjab at that time.
According to the sources Chaudary Nisar Ali Khan was conducting the investigation in transparent and unbiased manner. Moreover there was no pressure on him from any quarter to give wishful trend to the investigation. Interior minister was assigned the job of investigation after the civil-military leadership meeting.
Sources said such news were being planted in media circles that a senior officer of PM house was a part of the meeting but it has been proved in the investigation that the nominated officer was never the part of such meeting.
