LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team is rightly called unpredictable, as it was evident after the team batting collapse in the second inning, which lead to an unnecessary drama in the first Day and Night test against West Indies.
However Pakistan won the first Test match on the back of massive first inning total, thanks to a memorable triple century innings from Azhar Ali. While an aggressive bowling display from the pace -cum-spin bowling attack of Pakistan, in particular Yasir Shah played a pivotal role in clinching victory for the hosts.
Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur, has praised Yasir Shah calling him a ‘champion bowler.’ He will be a “champion bowler for Pakistan in the future as he is an exceptional bowler,” said Arthur, quoted DawnNews.
Yasir grabbed his 100th wicket during the test match, becoming the fastest bowler from Asia and second fastest overall to achieve the milestone, playing just 17 Tests.
Pakistan cricket head coach further said that he expects Pakistani team to perform well in the upcoming Test match against the visitors from the Caribbean. “I really hope the team will do well and improve its performance in the second Test,” said the head coach. However, he was of the view that the performance by the team has been satisfactory in the ongoing test series. “The performance of the team in England was very motivating, and the motivation can drive the team for years,” quoted Arthur.—APP
