Islamabad Police review security measures around media houses

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have reviewed security measures around media outlets to avoid any untoward incident and discussed with administration of media houses for further improvement in it.

Following directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Sajid Kiani, SP (City) Sheikh Zubair conducted special visits to various media houses where he met with the administration of these outlets to discuss security arrangements there and to bring further improvement in it.

The SSP (Operations) has directed that all SDPOs and SHOs to monitor the security of their respective areas and keep check and balance on their subordinate staff deputed for security purpose at various media houses.

He also directed ensure coordination with other police wings including Special Branch and share information with them in time.

SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said that it is the main purpose of the Islamabad police to ensure effective security measures around media houses for which security survey is being re-conducted. He said it has been directed to all police officials to review security arrangements of media outlets and take steps for elaborate security at media houses. —INP
