KP works-out compensation formula for victims of terrorism: CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the government has already worked out a compensation formula for the victims of terrorism in the province.

Whatever formula was formed for the Army Public School would be replicated for all such victims throughout the province.

This has been the plan for the future and there would be no discrimination, he assured.

He was talking to Mardan Bar Association led by its President Ameer Hussain at CM Secretariat here.  Provincial Ministers Imtiaz Shahid Quershi, Muhammad Atif Khan, MPA Iftikhar Mashwani and others were also present on the occasion.

The president told that compensation had been paid to the victims of Mardan Terror attack and demanded the rehabilitation of the office of bar association, security, pass-through gate and installation of CCTV Cameras.

The Chief Minister directed for complete estimation in order to resolve their problem within available resources. He also directed for the release of Rs. 5 million that he already announced for the Mardan Bar Association.

The Chief Minister said he would leave behind a system where there would be no discrimination and that would stay undisputed in future.

He said that he had given a system to all institutions which was based on justice and that would guarantee the provision of due rights to all.

He said that he had given a uniform plan excluding all sort of favors and ensuring equality without status and position. There was inbuilt system that would exclude favoritism and discretion.

He said that all segments of the society suffered because of terrorism including police, security and educational institutions and they needed to be compensated equally. —APP
