ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) will use seminary students as ‘foot soldiers to take over Islamabad on November 2’.

In a tweet posted today, Asif came up with the claim that Madrassas (religious seminaries) funded by the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province will pay back the party by providing foot soldiers to take over Islamabad.

It is pertinent to note here that PTI has announced to stage a protest sit-in in the federal capital on November 2.

Khan wants Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to face an inquiry into Panama papers scandal or tender his resignation.

PTI chairman had already clarified that this time, the siege of the federal capital would continue until the resignation of PM or his readiness to face inquiry.

“This protest is for all of Pakistan, this protest is to show the global community that just like Iceland and the UK held their leaders accountable, the people of Pakistan too are ready for real democracy where these pseudo democrats are brought to the corridors of accountability and justice,” PTI announced on its Facebook page.
