WASHINGTON: The US once again called on Pakistan to do more to crack down on extremists and delegitimize all terrorist groups allegedly operating on its soil.
Briefing the newsmen in Washington on Friday, State Department Deputy Spokesman Mark Toner however admitted that Pakistan has suffered greatly at the hands of terrorists and violent extremists.
We want to help Pakistan confront this terrorist threat, but we also want Pakistan also to go after those terrorists who seek and sometimes find safe haven on Pakistan territory.
When asked by an Indian journalist about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief’s money laundering case, Mr Toner asked him to get in touch with the British government on this particular case.
