CDGL sets up control room to monitor processions

LAHORE: City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has set up control room at Nadir Hall of DCO office for the monitoring of main processions being taken out on 9th and 10th of Muharram in different parts of the city.

The officials of more than 10 concerned departments have been deputed in control room for the monitoring of main processions.

DCO Lahore, Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman visited the room on Monday and inspected arrangements in control room. Muhammad Usman told that district administration installed 310 CCTV cameras in Walled City, Thokar Niaz Baig, Shadman, Islampura and Model Town while as many as 400 cameras, having outstanding resolution, have already been installed on routes under Safe City Project, he added.

The DCO said that bomb disposal squad would clear the route of processions, while district administration also set up two hospitals, one at Al-Imran Building in Walled City and second at Central Model School near Karbala Gamay Shah, to facilitate first aid to the injured.
