COAS reviews training regime at PMA, inaugurates 4th Pak Battalion

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) at Kakul.

The visit was focused on reviewing the current training regime for cadets and PMA’s capacity enhancement projects including inauguration of fourth Pakistan Battalion, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release here stated.

The COAS appreciated ongoing improvements in the training and administrative facilities for the cadets.

Speaking on the occasion, the COAS emphasised on the need for future leadership to focus on their all round professional grooming.

He said “With an enhanced degree of professional ethos, pride and esprit de corps we can meet all challenges effectively and comprehensively.

“During fight against terrorism, our officers have always upheld the proud tradition of leading from the front, regardless of the cost”, the COAS emphasized.

Earlier, on arrival at PMA, the COAS was received by Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E) Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Commandant Pakistan Military Academy Major General Nadeem Raza.
