LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the Federal Finance Minister had been declared the Most Successful Finance Minister of Asia for burdening his country with mountains of debt steeped in heavy interest.
Addressing the Central Executive Board of the Pakistan Engineering Forum at Mansoora, on Sunday, he said that in spite of vast resources both of men and material, the country had been burdened under huge foreign and domestic loans in total disregard to the country’s integrity and sovereignty.
The meeting through a resolution, urged the government to ensure jobs to the young engineers. In another resolution, it demanded of the federal government to approval the service structure for engineers and special allowance for the young engineers.
Continuing , Sirajul Haq said that every Pakistani was under the debt of Rs. One lakh, twenty thousand, and thus, the independence of our coming generations had been chained. He said the rulers had deprived the common man of his peace by making him the slave of the Zionssits and Christians in the form of IMF and World Bank loans. He said the masses did not know where these huge loans had been spent. He said that the motorway had been mortgaged for the issuance of Sakuk Bonds as was most shameful. The JI chief said that the government activities had created doubts regarding the CPEC as there were contradictions in the statements and the actions of the rulers. Due to that, there was unrest in Balochistan and Khyber P. He said the government should have a clear policy in order to remove the misgivings of the smaller provinces.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI’s drive against corruption was continuing most successfully and would be continued on roads and crossings and in the houses of the parliament. He said he was sure that the judiciary would bring the ruler to accountability and recover every penny of the public money from them. —INP
