LAHORE: The national selection committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced a 14-member Test squad for the upcoming series against West Indies in UAE.
Misbah-ul-Haq will lead the team in 3-match Test series while Azhar Ali has been named vice-captain of the team.
Chief Selector, Inzamam ul Haq, in consultation with the National Selection Committee has finalized the 14 member Pak test team for the three Tests against West Indies in UAE.
“While picking the squad, the team management and skipper were consulted and all concerned gave their consent in this regard,” said a Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Board here on Saturday.
Babar Azam, who made history by scoring three consecutive centuries in the ODI series, has been named in the squad.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Hafeez, Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed have been dropped from the test squad.
The first test will be played on October 13 (Thursday) at Dubai International Stadium.
